On the morning of January 29th I was out at the Mothballs Crit along with teammates Devin and Brandon. After a solid Ontario race a couple weekends prior, I made the decision to race Junior 17-18 as well as Junior 15-16. Both races were filled with intense moments with a few close calls on numerous turns. In the 17-18 race I found myself leading going onto the final lap before being passed on the back stretch by many racers who carried me to a slightly disappointing finish. Later, in the 15-16 race I sat in the entire race waiting until about three laps to go before moving up the field. After gaining solid position going into the final turn I ended up competing in the sprint and placing well. I believe I may have finished in the top ten. Although the afternoon was not filled with podium celebrations, I was very happy to be racing and gaining experience on the road. Thanks to my teammates and PAA parents who helped out with the event especially Eddie Ramirez with his coaching.
